Independent Road Safety Audit

We have continued to work to highlight the traffic impacts on the lanes of the development of SS6. Thanks to generous donations from our members during our last fundraising campaign, and on the advice of our Transport Consultants PEP, we commissioned an independent Road Safety Audit of the impact of the development of Strategic Site 6 (SS6) on the lanes . It will come as no surprise that the auditors found significant road safety risk - increasing the risk of collisions in the lanes – both between vehicles and between motorised vehicles and pedestrians and other non-motorised users.
We will be sharing this report with officers of the highway authority at Hampshire County Council and our County Councillor Barry Dunning and will continue to highlight these issues.
